"The Tender Is the Night" is a largely autobiographical novel by the American writer Scott Fitzgerald, known for his novels that reflect the so-called "Jazz Age" of the 1920s.

The novel "The Tender Is the Night" is a love story of a wealthy married couple, Dick and Nicole Driver, who live a merry and beautiful life, frolicking and having pompous entertainments on the shores of a cosy resort beach.
Dick is the life of the party, exuding an unusually powerful force that makes everyone who has ever seen him fall in love with him, including Rosemary, a young Hollywood actress who has met the brilliant Driver couple at the resort. At the same time, Dick is a practicing psychiatrist whose efforts keep Nicole's unstable psyche together. However, he does not always succeed...
