H. Skovoroda's poems, both those included in the collection and those found in his philosophical treatises and correspondence, are primarily poetry of the author's personal experiences, his moral and philosophical reflections on the meaning of life, true happiness, goodness, honesty, etc. The organic combination of personal and social motives is the most characteristic feature of Hryhoriy Savych's poetry.
