Hryna Kalynets called her last, unfinished book "the book of my life." This work is a kind of continuation of the scientific research. In the Light of Biblical Sources" (vol. 5 of the Collected Works). In the book "A Circle on the Face of the Abyss (Free Studies on the Texts of the Holy Scriptures)" the author examines the first five chapters of the Book of Genesis, using the achievements of famous mythologists, cultural studies, archaeologists, anthropologists, Egyptologists, philosophers, psychologists (30th, C. G. Jung), astrophysicists, economists (in particular, F. A. von Hayek), linguists, as well as the Church Fathers and some exegetes.

Iryna Kalynets puts forward bold hypotheses, particularly in the field of linguistics and Bible translation, and reflects on the sacrum ma profanum contained in almost every key lexeme of the opening chapters of the first book of the Old Testament.
