The editorial and publishing department of the Lviv Memorial organization recommends this essay on the history of Ukraine to pupils, students, young people, and anyone interested in the history of their native land.

The proposed book in Chapters I-XXI is a reprint of the work of Ivan Krypiakevych and Myron Dolnytsky with additional illustrative material. Chapters XXI-XXVII, dealing with the most recent events in Ukraine, a calendar of historical events from ancient times to 1991, and an introduction were written, systematized, and compiled by Yevhen Hryniv.
