Darkness is a refuge for the forces of evil. A video in which a girl buried alive is desperately trying to get out of the grave has been posted online. This case may turn out to be the most terrifying experience for Zoe Bentley, a forensic psychologist with the FBI. The eerie title of the video "Experiment Number One" hints that this is just the beginning. Zoe and her partner, Special Agent Tatum Gray, try to expose the video's perverted author as soon as possible, but soon another video appears online and another girl is found dead. Meanwhile, another killer, Rod Glover, does not leave Zoe alone. He has been terrorizing her since childhood, and now he crosses the line: he takes a picture with Zoe's sister, who did not feel threatened by the stranger's actions. And the more real Glover's threats become, the more Zoe is torn between her family and her professional duty.
