The novel by the famous historical novelist Raisa Ivanchenko is dedicated to the world-famous scientist Mykhailo Drahomanov. 
Mykhailo Drahomanov was a world-renowned scientist, an outstanding figure and thinker of his time, a passionate fighter for the betterment of the people against autocracy, ignorance and Pharisaism. His life path was difficult and thorny, with hardship, persecution, oppression, and political emigration. There were unjustified illusions and unfortunate failures for which he was later criticised, but the good and great things that Drahomanov did are worthy of memory and respect.
