Степан Рудницький "Чому ми хочемо самостійної України"

Why do we, Ukrainians, want an independent Ukraine? What kind of independent Ukraine do we need? What factors contribute to the processes of formation, strengthening and development of Ukrainian statehood and what hinder them? What is the role of the geographical factor - the territory, its natural resource potential, the spatial location of the land of Ukraine - in the full functioning of the Ukrainian Independent State? Academician Stepan Rudnytsky (1877-1937), a long-term prisoner of the Gulag, answering these questions, substantiated the geopolitical vision of the emergence and formation of an independent sovereign Ukrainian state. Scientific thoughts and positions of the scientist provide rich food for our contemporary, for the correct orientation in the complex, often contradictory processes of Ukrainian state-building.
