The book by the famous Ukrainian Soviet writer includes two stories that were not published during the author's lifetime. The story Zarichchia is written in the form of short stories united by common characters and a common idea. In both works, the author touches upon acute moral problems that people who find themselves in dramatic situations have to solve. The events take place during the Great Patriotic War and in the present day.
